SBU evidence helped to sentence another Russian agent, who acted in Kirovohrad region, to 15 years of imprisonment with confiscation of property. At the request of Russia, the offender tried to install a GPS tracker on a special vehicle accompanying the convoys of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

With the help of a hidden "beacon," the Russians hoped to track the movement of Ukrainian troops toward the front in real time.

The investigation revealed that a 20-year-old resident of Kyiv region, recruited by Russian special services, was carrying out the enemy task.

He came to the attention of the occupiers when he was looking for "easy" money on Telegram channels.

After being recruited, the agent was given a task: to arrive in Kirovohrad region and track the locations of the Defense Forces convoys.

The offender then deceived a local minor into subversive activities by promising him "quick money".

In return, the young man was supposed to sneak into a special vehicle of the Armed Forces of Ukraine at night and install a GPS tracker on it.

SBU officers exposed the enemy's plan in advance and detained the agent in February this year.

The investigation also documented how the offender additionally monitored the geolocations of checkpoints and TCC buildings for the curator.

Based on the SBU investigation, the court found the agent guilty under Part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (high treason committed under martial law).
