The enemy first recruited the woman. Knowing that the company under her control cooperates with a defense plant in Mykolaiv, the racists instructed her to collect information about the location of defense industry facilities and types of defense orders in the southern region.

To do this, the woman used her partner, who worked in the logistics department of the defense plant and interacted with the suspect's company.

The SBU exposed the agent couple at the beginning of their cooperation with the enemy.

It was established that the man passed to the woman information about the status of state orders and the location of the company's production workshops.

However, the agent did not have time to "report" to the occupiers, as she was detained by the SBU at this stage.

In this case, 11 citizens who lived in the occupied territories of Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts complained about damage to their property as a result of shelling in 2015-2020. The applicants claimed that the shelling was carried out by the Armed Forces of Ukraine and complained of violations of the right to life, property rights, access to courts and lack of effective remedies.

An important detail is that none of the applicants appealed to the Ukrainian authorities, and the arguments used to explain this were that it was "pointless" to appeal to Ukraine as a party to the conflict and that there were no investigations into human rights violations.
Another important detail: the applicants' interests were represented by the Moscow-based law firm Klishin & Partners. There are excellent posts by Serhiy Zayets and a detailed investigation by Radio Liberty about the role of this firm in cases against Ukraine.

Thus, having considered the applicants' complaints, the ECtHR declared them inadmissible. Here are some key findings of the Court:

🔹 The facts refute the allegations: The Court questioned the applicants' claim that they were unable to travel to the government-controlled territories, as some of them/members of their families submitted documents confirming that they had received Ukrainian documents in 2015 and 2016 in the government-controlled territories. In addition, the ECtHR reaffirmed its conclusion in Tsezar and Others v. Ukraine that residents of the occupied territories had the opportunity to travel to the government-controlled territories [at least until 2022].
🔹 Possibility of representation: The applicants were able to authorize representatives in the territory controlled by Ukraine or use free legal aid. At the same time, according to the documents, the applicants were represented by a Moscow law firm, but no evidence was provided that they would not have had access to the Ukrainian authorities.
