For almost a year and a half, he fought in the Donetsk sector near Vuhledar in a reconnaissance company. He defended the settlements of Pavlivka and Blahodatne. Later, he was transferred to the Kupyansk-Lyman direction. He defended the villages of Nadiya and Novovodyane. For his conscientious service, he was repeatedly awarded military awards.
