SBU evidence helped to sentence to life imprisonment with confiscation of property an FSB agent who coordinated combined attacks of Russian Federation in Donetsk region.

It was established that in the fall of 2023, Russian troops carried out an artillery strike on the residential sector of the currently occupied Kurakhivka in the Pokrovske direction using her coordinates.

Then, as a result of the enemy shelling, a civilian resident of the village was killed, and two more sustained injuries of varying severity.

According to the case file, the Russian strike was directed by a local unemployed woman who was recruited by the FSB through her son, a militant of the armed groups of the Southern Military District of Russia.

It was established that during correspondence in an anonymous chat room, the agent "leaked" the coordinates of Ukrainian targets to her son, who then passed them on to her curator.

The SBU CI detained the offender in October 2023.

During the searches, a smartphone with evidence of working for the enemy was seized from her.

Based on the evidence collected by the SBU investigators, the court found the agent guilty under Part 2 of Art. 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (high treason committed under martial law) and sentenced her to the highest penalty.

The investigation was conducted by SBU officers in Donetsk and Luhansk regions under the supervision of the Donetsk Regional Prosecutor's Office.
