Specialists of the Main Intelligence Directorate have carried out a cyberattack on the banking sector of the Russian Federation. Russians have been having problems with cash withdrawals for several days in a row - media citing intelligence sources.

The attack is reportedly gaining momentum. After the online services of leading Russian banks, Internet providers, social networks and national payment systems were hit, ATMs are now under attack. In addition, Ukrainian intelligence managed to gain access to the databases of Russian financial institutions.

Users of a number of Russian banks cannot withdraw cash, and when they try to use an ATM, their debit and credit cards are immediately blocked.

VTB-Bank, Alfa Bank, SberBank, Raiffeisen Bank, RSXB Bank, Rosbank, Gazprombank, T-Bank, iBank, and Dom.rf were attacked. The brokerage application T-Investments was also blocked.
