In particular, the reason for opening the criminal proceedings was the presence of an apartment in his family, which was allegedly purchased at a reduced price for funds that were allegedly not obtained legally. At the same time, the investigation ignored
- the conclusions of many expert examinations that refuted the purchase of the property at a reduced price. In particular, those examinations initiated by the NABU itself;

- testimonies of numerous witnesses who, despite pressure from the investigation, refute the prosecution's version.

We would also like to note that I. Vityuk has been making an important contribution to the defense of the country since the first days of the full-scale invasion of Russia.

In particular, under his leadership, the SBU Cyber Security Department (DKIB) has repelled thousands of cyberattacks on Ukrainian communications systems, energy and utilities infrastructure. Dozens of complex counteroffensive operations in cyberspace have been conducted.

With the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Brigadier General I. Vitiuk defended Kyiv and led one of the operational and combat groups that liberated Kyiv region from the occupiers. Also, during 2024-2025, he was on rotations in the combat zone in Sumy, Kherson, Zaporizhzhia, Mykolaiv and Donetsk regions as part of operational combat groups. He took a direct part in the Kursk operation.

Under the leadership of I. Vityuk, a combat unit was created on the basis of the DKIB. Today, sniper groups and units operate there, destroying not only enemy manpower and equipment, but also their electronic warfare and electronic warfare equipment with drones.
