"In the context of a full-scale war, the presence of Russian agents in any state body is completely unacceptable. There are no exceptions for us, we will continue to eradicate hostile influence anywhere. NABU needs to be cleansed of the influence of enemy special services. And we will continue to do this together with the Bureau's leadership, actively assisting them in this," Vasyl Malyuk said.

The head of the special service thanked the G7 member states for their cooperation during the full-scale invasion and support of Ukraine in such a difficult, historic time.

Vasyl Malyuk also added that the SBU and the PGO have collected a solid evidence base on all suspected NABU employees. In particular, yesterday the Security Service detained a Russian "mole" in one of the Bureau's elite units, as well as the head of the NABU's interregional detective departments, suspected of aiding the aggressor state. In addition, MP Fedir Khrystenko, a fugitive from the OPFL, who, according to the investigation, had a direct influence on the activities of the anti-corruption body, was served with a notice of suspicion of treason in absentia.

"The proper procedural guidance was provided and the legality of all the evidence collected was checked. All investigative actions were carried out in full compliance with the requirements of the current legislation. The court also confirmed the legitimacy of the evidence and the validity of the suspicions. For the Prosecutor General's Office, as well as for our colleagues from the SBU and the SBI, compliance with the law is paramount. And we act exclusively within the limits and in the manner prescribed by law," said Prosecutor General Ruslan Kravchenko.

Representatives of the G7 countries received comprehensive answers to their questions about the work of Ukraine's law enforcement agencies and, in particular, the recent special operation by the SBU and the PGO to neutralize Russian influence on the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine.

"The SBI, the SBU and the PGO continue to work together to combat crimes in the highest echelons of power. And we will do our job efficiently, regardless of the structures and positions of our suspects," said Oleksii Sukhachov, Director of the State Bureau of Investigation.

Vasyl Malyuk also discussed with the representatives of the G7 member states the recent results of the SBI's combat work. In particular, he provided details about the unique special operation "Web", which resulted in the downing of 41 Russian strategic aviation aircraft, as well as the third attack on the Crimean bridge.

Yesterday, the Security Service and the Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine conducted a joint special operation to neutralize the Kremlin's influence on the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine. During the day, dozens of investigative and procedural actions were taken against the suspects and their associates.

As a result of the complex measures, two current officials of the Bureau were served suspicion notices:
◾ an employee of the NABU Central Office, who, according to the investigation, works in the most elite closed unit "D-2" and spied for the Russian special service
◾ Ruslan Magamedrasulov, one of the heads of the NABU's interregional detective departments, who, according to the case, has contacts with representatives of the aggressor country and helps his father, an entrepreneur, conduct illegal trade with Russia.

Also, while documenting Russian influence on the Bureau, the current MP from the now banned OPFL party, Fedir Khrystenko, was served with a suspicion in absentia.

According to the investigation, this MP was a top agent of the Russian Federal Security Service (resident) and was responsible for strengthening Russian influence on the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU).

One of his contacts was the head of the NABU's detective unit, Oleksandr Skomarov, with whom Khrystenko is in close contact. In 2022, during a full-scale invasion, Skomarov's wife was recorded traveling abroad in a car belonging to Khrystenko's wife.

Skomarov participated in the competition for the head of another law enforcement agency of Ukraine, the Bureau of Economic Security. The investigation found that if he won the competition, Ukrainian oligarch Ihor Kolomoisky hoped that Skomarov, as the new head of the BES, would help close the criminal proceedings against him. This information was confirmed by evidence of Kolomoisky's correspondence with one of his subordinates.

However, Kolomoisky is not the only oligarch whom FSB agent Khrystenko tried to help. It has been documented that NABU detectives helped another Ukrainian businessman, Ihor Kolomoisky's business partner, Hennadii Boholiubov, escape.

In particular, two NABU employees, Skomarov's subordinates, accompanied the fugitive oligarch when he crossed the state border of Ukraine: they were in the neighboring compartment of the train "for safety". According to the investigation, the corresponding "special operation" was also organized by Fedir Khrystenko.

During the searches at the addresses of Khrystenko, a member of the banned OPFL party, materials of NABU criminal proceedings were found, including documents of covert surveillance of the suspects, as well as questionnaires of candidates for detectives of the Bureau, which indicates Russian influence and systemic leaks of information from the anti-corruption agency.
