During the searches, components for the manufacture of flammable mixtures, as well as clothes and phones with evidence of crimes were seized from the suspects.

The detainees were served a notice of suspicion in connection with the crimes under several articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine:

▪ Art. 14, para. 1, Art. 258, para. 2 (preparation for a terrorist act);
▪ Part 1 of Art. 114-1 (obstruction of the lawful activities of the AFU and other military formations during a special period);

The offenders are being held in custody without the right to be released on bail. They face life imprisonment with confiscation of property. The issue of bringing to justice the minor involved from Odesa is being settled.

To commit the crime, the suspect received instructions from a Russian special service officer to manufacture an improvised explosive device (IED) at home.

SBU officers detained the agent when he was making explosives in his apartment.

While documenting his crimes, the SBU also found that the suspect was recording the locations of the Defense Forces on his way to children's parties.

This was a "test" task for the agent, whom the supervisor was checking for readiness to carry out more complex assignments.

According to the case file, if the first power substation was successfully blown up, the agent was to commit similar sabotage at other power facilities in the city.

During the searches of the detainee's apartment and car, the SBU seized components for an IED, pro-Kremlin symbols, including a Ukrainian passport with a tricolor cover, as well as a tablet and a phone with evidence of working for the enemy.
