"The SBU and the National Police detain criminals literally "hot on the trail" 24/7. And there is not a single case where we have not found the perpetrator. In particular, since 2024 and as of today, the SBU, together with the National Police, has already identified 497 people who committed such crimes," said Serhiy Andrushchenko.

Today, the SBU is doing everything to be proactive and proactively counteract the intelligence and subversive activities of the Russian special services, which have recently intensified their attempts to organize sabotage and terrorist attacks near and in the buildings of the SEC.

Young people or the unemployed often agree to cooperate, and the curators then inform them of the location for the terrorist attack and the place of storage of the improvised explosive device, which is prepared by another group of agents.

"We establish the entire chain: from recruitment to preparation of the crime. As a rule, we work proactively - we detain criminals when they take out explosives from a cache," said Andrushchenko.

He emphasized that the bombings of the SEC buildings and other facilities are serious crimes that the Criminal Code of Ukraine classifies as a terrorist act. They are subject to severe criminal liability - 15 years in prison or life imprisonment.

To counteract the recruitment of citizens, in mid-December, the SBU launched an official chatbot called "Burn the FSB" in Telegram. This chatbot, as well as the SBU hotline, can be used to report suspicious contacts from Russian special services.
