1. First, the company concludes a contract with a potential "victim", offering to supply goods on favorable terms. Most often these are oil products, construction materials or industrial equipment. In order to provide "proof" of fulfillment of the contract, a fictitious company is created, allegedly receiving goods for storage. In reality, the products do not exist or have never been delivered.
2. Next, the supplier company applies to the court with a request to open bankruptcy proceedings for undelivered goods (which, in fact, never existed).
3- In the next step, a cooperating judge joins the scheme. He opens bankruptcy proceedings against the target company, justifying this by the existence of debts. A temporary manager is appointed for the victim company, which blocks its activities and makes decisions favorable to the fraudsters.
4. Later, through the courts and executive services, the swindlers try to realize the company's assets in their favor.

In particular, Ternopil-based BMBud fell under such a "roller": it was slipped a fictitious company for storage of oil products, and then made claims for their payment. As a result, a company with contracts worth UAH 1.6 million, which is involved in the construction of bomb shelters, was blocked for UAH 500 million. Other companies that fell victim to the swindlers include A.T. Smart Trading, the logistics firm Cargo Systems of Ukraine LLC, construction materials supplier Danko LLC, as well as traders Tierra LLC and Autoaperolium LLC.

A number of proceedings were opened against A.T. Smart Trading to collect debts worth UAH 7 mln, and its owner Serhiy Teslya was sentenced to 7 years in prison under the article "fraud on an especially large scale" and served his sentence in the LRC.

The increase in the number of such schemes requires stronger legislative control. Changes in bankruptcy procedures, mandatory audits of court decisions and criminal liability for officials involved in such frauds are required. This is the only way to protect Ukrainian business from fraudulent attacks and raiding.
