The SBU collected evidence against Yevhen Cherniak, the owner of one of the largest alcohol holdings in Ukraine, who is suspected of financing Russian armed aggression.

According to the investigation, despite the full-scale invasion, his companies continued to do business with the aggressor country.

It was established that in 2022, his subordinate companies transferred about 6 billion in hryvnia equivalent to the Russian budget in the form of taxes and fees alone.

It is documented that the defendant's enterprises located in four countries of Central Asia and the South Caucasus purchased industrial volumes of alcohol and other related products from Russia.

During the searches of the holding's office premises in Ukraine, the SBU found documents and other material evidence of illegal activities in favor of the aggressor country.

Based on the collected evidence, the SBU investigators served Cherniak and 6 other top managers of his companies suspicion notices under Part 2 of Art. 28, Art. 111-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (aiding the aggressor state committed by prior conspiracy by a group of persons).

The issue of seizure of their private and corporate property for transfer to the management of the ARMA is being decided.

The investigation was conducted under the supervision of the Kyiv Region Prosecutor's Office.

Note: Pursuant to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and shall not be subjected to criminal punishment until his or her guilt is proved in accordance with the law and established by a court verdict of guilty.

Вирішується питання про накладення арешту на їх приватне і корпоративне майно для передачі в управління АРМА.

Розслідування проводили за процесуального керівництва Київської обласної прокуратури.
