"A loyal comrade, a sensitive, loving husband and father. It is impossible to describe my husband in a few words, because he is the best for us..." wrote Olga Piyuk.

The paratrooper was buried at the Frunziv Cemetery in Nizhyn.

At home, Viktor's parents, sister, wife, son, who was 3 years old at the time of his father's death, other relatives and friends were waiting for him.

The scout was mortally wounded while rescuing the commander. The military operation took place on the Dnipro islands near Kherson.

The defender is survived by his wife and young daughter.

Підрозділи 123-ої бригади визволяли Баштанку та спільно з іншими підрозділами сил оборони України брали участь в боях на Херсонщині.

Розвідник був смертельно поранений під час порятунку командира. Військова операція відбувалася на дніпровських островах поблизу Херсона.

У захисника залишилася дружина та маленька донька.
