It was also established that he was collecting intelligence on the location of the Defense Forces in the regional center. He was most interested in the locations of fortifications and the routes of movement of Ukrainian troops towards the eastern front.

SBU officers detained the offender in August 2022 while conducting counter-sabotage operations in Kharkiv.

Based on the materials of the Ukrainian special service, the court sentenced him to 12 years in prison.

According to the investigation, the convict is a local resident who, after the start of the full-scale invasion of Russia, "leaked" information about the location and movement of Ukrainian armed forces units to the Russian Telegram bot.

In this way, he came to the attention of Russian military intelligence, which subsequently remotely engaged him in cooperation in favor of the aggressor country.

Based on the evidence collected, the court found the offender guilty under Part 3 of Art. 114-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (unauthorized dissemination of information on the sending, movement of weapons, armaments and ammunition to Ukraine, movement, relocation or deployment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine).

The investigation was conducted by the SBU Office in Kharkiv region under the supervision of the Regional Prosecutor's Office.

The mandatory vulnerability criteria are:
- a family with only one parent with one or more children under the age of 18 or with elderly people over 55 years old;
- a family headed by one single/multiple single elderly persons aged 55 or older or an elderly person with one or more children under the age of 18;
- a family with one or more persons with special needs;
- Families taking care of unaccompanied children (if documented).
The application can be submitted only with the personal presence of all family members at the data collection point.

The court's decision concerns 20 companies and financial institutions owned by the Kremlin oligarchs as ultimate beneficiaries or through controlled offshore companies.

The value of the seized corporate rights is over UAH 17 billion.

The blocked assets include financial and insurance companies, mobile and IT companies, and mineral water plants.

The seizure of this property will not allow the Russian owners to "re-register" it to front companies to avoid further transfer of assets to Ukraine.

In early September this year, SBU investigators served Friedman with a notice of suspicion under Part 3 of Article 110-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (financing actions committed with the aim of violent change or overthrow of the constitutional order or seizure of state power, change of the boundaries of the territory or state border of Ukraine).

The suspect and his business partners are currently outside Ukraine. Comprehensive measures are under way to establish all the circumstances of their subversive activities in order to bring the perpetrators to justice.

The investigation was conducted under the supervision of the Prosecutor General's Office.

Нагадаємо, що на початку вересня цього року слідчі Служби безпеки повідомили Фрідману про підозру за ч. 3 ст. 110-2 Кримінального кодексу України (фінансування дій, вчинених з метою насильницької зміни чи повалення конституційного ладу або захоплення державної влади, зміни меж території або державного кордону України).

Наразі підозрюваний разом зі своїми бізнес-партнерами перебуває за межами України. Тривають комплексні заходи для встановлення всіх обставин їхньої підривної діяльності для притягнення винних до відповідальності.

Розслідування проводили за процесуального керівництва Офісу Генерального прокурора.

☝️ The Armed Forces of Ukraine will ensure the proper and safe transportation of the repatriated bodies (remains) of the fallen (deceased) defenders of Ukraine to designated state specialized institutions for their transfer in accordance with the established procedure to representatives of law enforcement agencies and forensic experts in order to organize and conduct procedural (investigative) actions and forensic examinations necessary to identify the victims.

🇺🇦 Ukraine does not cease and continues to actively take all possible legal measures within the framework of International Humanitarian Law to establish the whereabouts of the defenders of Ukraine who went missing or were taken prisoner in connection with the armed aggression against Ukraine, with a view to their subsequent return to the territory controlled by the Government of Ukraine.
