SBU materials help to sentence corrector of Russian strikes on power facilities in Donetsk region to 7 years in prison

Thanks to the SBU evidence base, another enemy informant who corrected Russian air attacks in Donetsk region received a real prison term.

Following the offender's tip, the Russians carried out a series of missile strikes on the region, which resulted in at least 20 civilian casualties.

It was established that she was "leaking" the coordinates of local social and critical infrastructure facilities, including energy generating enterprises, to the occupiers.

In addition, it passed on to the aggressor the locations of the basing and movement of the Defense Forces units in the Bakhmut and Avdiivka directions.

The enemy was particularly interested in the locations of fortifications and logistics bases of Ukrainian troops in the area of Dobropillia.

SBU CI officers detained the offender red-handed in February this year when she was passing intelligence to the aggressor.

Taking into account her cooperation with the investigation, the court sentenced her to 7 years in prison.

Based on the SBU materials, the court found the offender guilty under Part 2 of Art. 114-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (dissemination of information about the movement, movement or location of the Armed Forces or other military formations).

The investigation was conducted by SBU officers in Donetsk and Luhansk regions under the supervision of the Donetsk Regional Prosecutor's Office.
