The Cherkasy Regional Center for Recruitment and Social Support reported that the man "behaved provocatively" when he saw the soldiers, insulted them and threatened them with violence.

"The citizen was detained, and the military personnel of the TCC and the JV called representatives of the National Police, who took explanations from the participants in the incident," the recruitment center said.

The head of the Cherkasy Regional Military Administration, Ihor Taburets, noted that mobilization in Ukraine is a vital necessity during the war with the Russian occupiers. And the blame for this situation lies with both sides of the conflict.

"Does a civilian have the right to disrespect a military officer in the performance of his duties, even if he is delivering a notice? My answer: NO. Does the military have the right to react in the way we saw in the video? My answer: NO," the official emphasized.

According to Taburets, both sides have written statements.

The recruitment center has started an official inspection, and explanatory work has been conducted with the personnel involved in the notification of persons liable for military service.

"Чи має право цивільний зневажливо ставитися до військового при виконанні службових обов’язків, навіть якщо він вручає сповіщення? Моя відповідь: НІ. Чи має право військовий реагувати так, як ми бачили на відео? Моя відповідь: НІ", — наголосив посадовець.

За словами Табурця, обидві сторони написали заяви.

У центрі комплектування розпочали службову перевірку, з особовим складом, що залучається до оповіщення військовозобов’язаних, провели роз’яснювальну роботу.
