The Security Service of Ukraine has collected evidence against pro-Kremlin "political analyst" Oleksandr Lazarev, who is helping the aggressor in the war against Ukraine.

Even before the full-scale invasion, the suspect was a member of the pool of public pseudo-experts working for Medvedchuk, Muraiev and Shariy.

Lazarev himself was directly involved in the "promotion" of media images of the Kremlin's henchmen and helped them promote hostile narratives in the information space.

For this purpose, he was a frequent "guest" on the air of the sanctioned Nash, Zik, NewsOne, 112 and Russia Today channels.

In his comments, he repeatedly justified Moscow's aggressive policy and called the fighting in eastern Ukraine a "civil war."

However, after February 24 last year, Lazarev secretly went abroad.

Later, he arrived in the occupied Crimea and joined Aksyonov's inner circle, helping him to conduct hostile information campaigns on the peninsula.

Based on the evidence collected, SBU investigators served the suspect a notice of suspicion under Part 1 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (high treason) and Part 1 of Article 161 (violation of equality of citizens based on their race, nationality, region, religious beliefs, disability and other grounds).

Comprehensive measures are underway to bring him to justice.

The investigation was conducted under the supervision of the Kyiv Region Prosecutor's Office.

Служба безпеки зібрала доказову базу на прокремлівського «політолога» Олександра Лазарєва, який допомагає агресору у війні проти України.

Фігурант ще до початку повномасштабного вторгнення входив до пулу публічних псевдоекспертів, які працювали на Медведчука, Мураєва та Шарія.

Сам Лазарєв безпосередньо займався «розкруткою» медійних образів поплічників кремля і допомагав їм у просуванні ворожих наративів в інформпросторі.

In his comments, he repeatedly justified Moscow's aggressive policy and called the fighting in eastern Ukraine a "civil war."

However, after February 24 last year, Lazarev secretly went abroad.

Later, he arrived in the occupied Crimea and joined Aksyonov's inner circle, helping him to conduct hostile information campaigns on the peninsula.

Based on the evidence collected, SBU investigators served the suspect a notice of suspicion under Part 1 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (high treason) and Part 1 of Article 161 (violation of equality of citizens based on their race, nationality, region, religious beliefs, disability and other grounds).

Comprehensive measures are underway to bring him to justice.

The investigation was conducted under the supervision of the Kyiv Region Prosecutor's Office.
