The decision on the need for iodine prophylaxis is determined by local authorities in the event of an actual threat of radioactive contamination. Prophylaxis is carried out by drinking potassium iodide or 5% tincture of iodine. People 12-40 years of age should take a pellet of 130 mg of potassium iodide or 44 drops of 5% tincture of iodine for two bottles of water.

Prophylactic use of potassium iodide is prohibited. Please note that iodine prophylaxis protects only from radioactive iodine, other factors are a health hazard.

After the corresponding signal of radioactive danger and after iodine prophylaxis the population should seal the place of staying. Leaving the shelter will be allowed by a separate signal, do not risk your health.

У Запорізькому обласному центрі контролю та профілактики хвороб МОЗ України відбувся брифінг головного державного санітарного лікаря Запорізької області Тараса Тищенка з приводу дій у разі аварії на ЗАЕС.

Основними завданнями центру контролю та профілактики є моніторинг та належної реалізації заходів санітарного та епідеміологічного контролю. Установу з початку воєнного стану перевели у режим посиленої готовності. У разі радіаційної загрози мобільними бригадами моніторингу буде проведено відбір проб. Наразі радіаційний фон в області під пильним контролем та у нормі, без відхилень. Спеціалісти забезпечені усіма необхідними засобами захисту та готові до надзвичайної ситуації.

Рішення про необхідність проведення йодної профілактики визначається місцевими органами виконавчої влади у випадку фактичної загрози радіаційної загрози. Профілактику проводять пігулок калій йодиду або 5% настойки йоду. Людям 12-40 років слід прийняти пігулку 130 мг калій йодиду або 44 краплі 5% настойки йоду на пів склянки води.

Профілактичне застосування йодиду калію заборонено. Зверніть увагу, що йодна профілактика захищає лише від ураження радіоактивним йодом, інші фактори становитимуть загрозу здоров’ю.
