The SBU uncovered a Russian agency that included executives of the Cabinet of Ministers and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Ukraine
The FSS agent network was carrying out its investigative and fraudulent activities in the authorities.
The counterintelligence service of the Security Service conducted a large-scale special operation to eliminate these activities.
As a result, the head of the department of the Secretariat of the Chamber of Commerce and the head of one of the CCI directorates was detained in Kiev.
These officers provided the enemy with various kinds of information: from the state of defense to the state of the state border and the personal data of Ukrainian law enforcers.
The intruders did not do it free of charge. Russian curators paid them from $2,000 to $15,000 per assignment for information. The sums depended on the level of confidentiality and importance of the collected data.
At the moment the SBU investigators informed both perpetrators of suspicion of committing a crime under Article 111 (state crime) of the Criminal Code.
The court sentenced them to a preventive measure in the form of detention.
