He did his military service in the military unit A1479 (6th Arsenal - ammunition storage base of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Chernihiv region), and then was enrolled as a firefighter. Later, he mastered the specialty of a military firefighter.
From May 2024, the man served in the 82nd separate airborne assault brigade.
Unfortunately, on June 30, 2024, near the city of Vovchansk, Kharkiv region, Ihor Burenko died. Two children were left without a father.
The soldier was awarded the Order "For Courage" of the III degree (posthumously).
