SBU detained another Russian informant in Mykolaiv. It was a 45-year-old local resident who was adjusting Russian missile and drone attacks on the port city.

According to SBU cyber experts, he was in contact with agent Serhiy Lebedev (known by the pseudonym "Shaggy"), who is hiding in Donetsk and simultaneously works for the FSB and Russian military intelligence.

On the instructions of "Shaggy," his accomplice was preparing a new series of air strikes on the regional center.

To identify and pass on the coordinates of the "targets" to the occupiers, the suspect traveled around the city, where he tracked the places of the largest concentration of Ukrainian troops.

It is documented that the informant transmitted data to the curator in the form of marks on online maps and deleted all correspondence after each communication session.

However, this did not help him. SBU officers detained the offender at his place of residence. At the same time, measures were taken to secure the locations of the Defense Forces in the area of enemy reconnaissance.

During the searches, the SBU seized a phone with evidence of his subversive activities in favor of the aggressor country.

The SBU investigators served him a notice of suspicion under Part 3 Art. 114-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (unauthorized dissemination of information on the movement and deployment of the Armed Forces under martial law).

The offender is in custody without the right to be released on bail. He faces up to 12 years in prison.

The operation was conducted by SBU officers in Mykolaiv region under the procedural supervision of the Regional Prosecutor's Office.

SBU CI detained another Russian agent in Donetsk region. The offender was tracking the locations of the Defense Forces in the hottest frontline area - Pokrovske - for the aggressor.

As the investigation revealed, Russian military intelligence (better known as GRU) used its local agent. He turned out to be a 34-year-old electrician from neighboring Myrnohrad who was waiting for the full occupation of the region.

To recruit the racist supporter, the Russian game engaged his classmate, who is currently fighting against the Defense Forces in eastern Ukraine.

The main task of the agent was to go around Pokrovsk and the surrounding area, taking pictures of the positions of Ukrainian troops.

Most of all, the enemy was interested in the coordinates of fortifications, reserve command posts and ammunition depots of Ukrainian troops.

Returning home after reconnaissance missions, the defendant summarized the collected data in an intelligence "report" for the occupiers.

The SBU officers exposed the offender in advance, documented his contacts with the Russian "liaison" and detained him. At the same time, the SBU CI secured the locations of Pokrovsk defenders.

In fact, the enemy was able to regain lost positions and areas only after it engaged DPRK troops, significantly increased its grouping, and transferred the main intensity of the use of guided aerial bombs to Kursk region.

The offensive operation in Kursk region achieved most of the goals set by the country's top leadership.

The scale of the enemy's losses, the effectiveness of our asymmetric actions in the offensive, and the strict observance of international humanitarian law on the territory of the Russian Federation were recognized by the world and became a source of invaluable experience for both Ukrainian troops and foreign allies.

SBU evidence base helped to sentence another FSB informer, who was operating in the south of Ukraine, to a real term of imprisonment. The offender corrected Russian missile and drone attacks on Mykolaiv and Odesa.

Among the enemy's priority "targets" were reserve command posts and logistics centers of the Defense Forces in the port cities of our country.

According to the case file, the 47-year-old former law enforcement officer from Mykolaiv, who was fulfilling the order of the Russian special service, was engaged in directing enemy fire.

To adjust the combined strikes of the Nazis, the informant marked the geolocation of Ukrainian defenders on Google maps and periodically monitored the consequences of enemy "arrivals."

The offender passed the collected data to Serhiy Lebedev (known as "Shaggy"), who is hiding in Donetsk and works for the FSB and Russian military intelligence.

SBU cyber specialists and investigators documented the informant's crimes and detained him in November 2023 at his place of residence. At the same time, comprehensive measures were taken to secure the locations of the Defense Forces.

During the searches, the SBU seized a phone with evidence of his contacts with the Russian agent "Shaggy".

Based on the SBU materials, the informant was found guilty under Part 3 of Art. 114-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (unauthorized dissemination of information on the movement, relocation or deployment of the Armed Forces or other military formations formed in accordance with the laws of Ukraine, committed under martial law).

Taking into account his cooperation with the investigation, the court sentenced him to 10 years in prison.
