According to the investigation, the aggressor forced eight Ukrainian soldiers in captivity to appear in a video in which they, among other things, called on the active military of the Defense Forces to "give up the war" and not to carry out combat orders.

To record the fake videos, the racists even set up an improvised studio in one of the pre-trial detention centers in the Kursk region of Russia.

In case of refusal to participate in information sabotage, the prisoners were subjected to brutal torture and inhumane conditions.

Russian special services also tried to involve relatives and friends of Ukrainian prisoners to "disperse" provocative content.

At the same time, the agents who agreed to perform hostile tasks and were detained by the SBU admitted that, in addition to distributing videos on social media, they received orders to set fire to Defense Forces vehicles and adjust air strikes.

During the searches of the detainees' residences, SBU seized computer equipment, flash drives, draft recordings, phones and SIM cards used by them to work for the occupiers.

The SBU investigators served all detainees a notice of suspicion under Part 1 Art. 114-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (obstruction of lawful activities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other military formations). The issue of additional qualification of their actions under Art. 111 (high treason) is being decided.

The criminals are in custody. They face up to 8 years in prison.

To communicate with the Russian intelligence officer, the mole used voice messages that he dictated in an anonymous chat room.

According to the agent's geolocation, the occupiers were preparing missile and bomb attacks, before which the traitor had to leave the perimeter of fire.

The SBU military counterintelligence exposed the hostile intentions in advance and prevented their implementation. After taking measures to secure the locations of the Defense Forces, the traitor was detained near the front line.

During the search, SBU officers seized two phones that he used to communicate with the Russian group.

According to the investigation, the suspect was remotely recruited by the occupiers in January this year. The SBU also identified his supervisor - a Russian military intelligence officer who is on the front line of the eastern front.

The SBU investigators served the agent a notice of suspicion under Part 2 Art. 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (high treason committed under martial law).

The offender was taken into custody without the right to be released on bail. He faces life imprisonment with confiscation of property.

The operation was conducted jointly with the SBU investigators in Kharkiv region under the supervision of the Specialized Defense Prosecutor's Office in the Eastern region.
