SBU cyber specialists prevented a series of Russian air attacks on the aviation infrastructure of the Defense Forces.

Following a special operation in Khmelnytskyi region, the SBU detained an FSB agent who was collecting intelligence for the purpose of targeting Ukrainian airfields in western Ukraine.

The offender was a 53-year-old local unemployed man who came to the attention of the occupiers as a pro-Kremlin "commentator" on Telegram channels.

The main task of the agent was to identify the runways of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the western regions of Ukraine and to track the "schedule" of combat missions at the airfields.

According to available data, the enemy planned to use this information for missile and drone strikes against domestic military aviation.

SBU cyber specialists exposed the agent in advance and documented his intelligence activities step by step. After special measures to secure the locations of the Defense Forces, the traitor was detained at his place of residence.

During the search, the SBU seized his phone, on which he was accumulating information and preparing a "report" for the FSB.

Based on the evidence collected, SBU investigators served the suspect a notice of suspicion under Part 2 of Art. 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (high treason committed under martial law).

The offender is in custody. He faces life imprisonment with confiscation of property.

It is a way to develop the skills of pilots who work on the front line every day. This is another step towards improving combat effectiveness and technological adaptation. This is an investment in people who provide a technological advantage over the enemy.

The field of human intelligence is only developing, but it attracted a lot of attention from the tournament visitors. At the same time, NRCs are being used more and more frequently on the frontline. It is not surprising that the winners in this category were active military personnel who not only own the equipment but also use it in real combat conditions. Their experience is another proof that robotic systems are already changing the nature of warfare.

The CTF is not just a competition, but training for the cyber front, which is just as critical as battles in the sky or on the ground. Although cyber attacks are not visible to the naked eye, they can disrupt communications systems, damage critical infrastructure, or leak important data to the enemy. Resilience in cyberspace is one of the keys to victory in modern warfare.

Such competitions help cybersecurity professionals train their skills in realistic conditions to quickly identify and neutralize threats and protect the state in the information space.

📝The tournament was held as part of the forum "Innovations and Development of Sports in Wartime". The event was attended by the President of Ukraine, representatives of the Ministry of Digital Transformation, the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the Security and Defense Forces, and the Office of the President.

Such interest in the event demonstrates that the state is aware of the importance of military-technological sports as part of defense capabilities and the need to implement systemic solutions in the field of military education and training in general.
