According to the investigation, the convict is a 36-year-old local resident who was once wanted for fraud and theft. In the summer of 2023, she fled to the Zhytomyr region, where she "laid low" to avoid punishment.

The woman rented a house there and was later remotely recruited by the occupiers when she was looking for "easy money" on Telegram channels.

On the instructions of the FSB, the agent resumed communication with her former fellow villagers in Donetsk region to receive the necessary information from them in the dark.

As the investigation revealed, the traitor asked about the deployment and specifics of Ukrainian air defense in the region during domestic conversations on the phone.

The enemy hoped to use this information to "bypass" Ukrainian air defense on the eastern front.

SBU officers thwarted the enemy's intentions and detained the traitor in a temporary residence in the spring of 2024.

Based on the evidence collected by the SBU investigators, the agent was found guilty under Part 2 of Art. 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (high treason committed under martial law).

The investigation was conducted by the SBU Office in Vinnytsia region under the supervision of the Regional Prosecutor's Office.
