We present to your attention the continuation of the OsintFlow team's research on a unit of traitors and occupiers who have been fighting in the temporarily occupied territory of Zaporizhzhia region for years under the leadership of the Main Directorate of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces (former GRU).

In the second part of our research, we decided to investigate the battalion's ties to various organizations and find out who heads these structures. We took into account only those organizations that were mentioned in their publications directly by the battalion's fighters.

Among the organizations that helped the unit:

🛑 Patriots, founded and headed by Sergei Kanchukov, a major general, former chief of intelligence of the former Siberian Military District and the Russian Ministry of Defense's troops in Chechnya.

A security company whose founder, Vladimir Fomenko, served in the FSB's Vympel special forces with Krasikov and, together with the same character, committed the murder of a Karelian businessman in 2007, according to investigations by The Insider, Bellingcat and Der Spiegel. The Security Service of Ukraine detained another agent of Russian military intelligence (better known as GRU) in Kharkiv region. It was a 51-year-old assistant driver of a local locomotive depot who was adjusting Russian air strikes.

According to SBU counterintelligence, the main task of the offender was to pass on the coordinates of railway platforms where military equipment of the Defense Forces is unloaded.

To adjust the aggressor's air attack, the traitor recorded the time and place of arrival of the Armed Forces trains at Ukrzaliznytsia facilities.

At the same time, the agent was spying on the flight directions of the Armed Forces combat helicopters, trying to "calculate" the likely locations of the Defense Forces air bases.

The SBU officers exposed the suspect in advance, documented his crimes and detained him at his place of residence when he was preparing an agent's "report" for the occupiers.

A "backup" phone was seized from the detainee, which he used for "hidden" correspondence with his curator.

According to the investigation, the defendant came to the attention of the Russian special service as the author of anti-Ukrainian comments in Odnoklassniki.

SBU investigators served him with a notice of suspicion under Part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (high treason committed under martial law).

The offender is in custody. He faces life imprisonment with confiscation of property.

The operation was conducted by the SBU Office in Kharkiv region under the procedural supervision of the Regional Prosecutor's Office.
