It was also established that in order to fire on targets "bypassing" Ukrainian air defense, the agents had to identify and pass on the coordinates of the Armed Forces radar stations to the occupiers.

The SBU CI exposed both offenders in a timely manner, documented their crimes and detained them at their residences in Kyiv.

The occupiers' accomplices were a 27-year-old paralegal of a local law firm and his friend, a 25-year-old unemployed man.

In 2024, they were looking for "quick money" on Telegram channels together, where they were later recruited by a Russian gru.

To collect intelligence, the suspects "toured" three regions of Ukraine at once. When the agents found the "right" locations, they photographed them using a special program that marked the coordinates, date and time of the photo fixation.

It was documented how the agents remotely coordinated their actions with several representatives of the Russian secret service, and to conceal communication in messengers, they constantly changed SIM cards and phones.

During the searches, the SBU seized computer equipment and 8 mobile phones with evidence of cooperation with Russian military intelligence.

The SBU investigators served the suspects a notice of suspicion under Part 2 Art. 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (high treason committed under martial law).

The offenders are in custody. They face life imprisonment with confiscation of property.

The operation was conducted by the SBU Office in Chernihiv region under the procedural supervision of the Regional Prosecutor's Office.
