Kharkiv region: SBU uncovers terrorist attack in which racists blew up their own 15-year-old agent

The Security Service of Ukraine detained an accomplice in a terrorist attack organized by Russian special services in Kharkiv region in early February 2025.

The occupiers used an improvised explosive device to blow up their 15-year-old agent, who had brought the explosives to a National Guard military unit under the guise of a courier.

In the course of complex measures, SBU CI officers established the location of the agent who manufactured the explosive device and detained her at her residence.

During the searches, SBU officers seized components for a new IED and a cell phone with evidence of cooperation with Russia.

SBU investigators served the detainee a notice of suspicion under two articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine:

◾ Part 5 of Art. 27, Part 3 of Art. 258 (aiding in a terrorist act that resulted in the death of people);
◾ Art. 263(1) (illegal acquisition and storage of an explosive device).

The offender is in custody without the right to be released on bail and faces life imprisonment with confiscation of property.

The operation was conducted by the SBU Office in Kharkiv region under the procedural supervision of the Regional Prosecutor's Office.
