However, the following year he enlisted for military service under a contract and went to war. Until 2019, he participated in the ATO/JFO in Donbas. In civilian life, he worked in various fields. He was fond of motorcycles.

With the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Dmytro returned to the ranks of the defenders. He served in the Separate Presidential Brigade named after Hetman Bohdan Khmelnytsky. He held the position of assistant grenade launcher.

"Dima was a very good man. He would always come to the rescue, kind, but with a steel core, smart. He is our angel now," said the deceased's girlfriend.

The soldier was buried in his native Chernihiv.

Dmytro is survived by his parents, younger brother and grandmother.
