There she got married and gave birth to a son. Before the large-scale war, she was a nurse at the Chernihiv Regional Psychoneurological Hospital. Her patients adored her. After February 24, 2022, Olha, along with other villagers, helped the Ukrainian military who were stationed in Budy.
On March 7, during the shelling, a shell exploded right next to the woman's house. Her husband and son managed to hide, but she did not. After the tragedy, Olga's family evacuated. The body of the deceased was lying on the veranda.

After learning of the loss, her mother Nina and brother Dmytro traveled along the mined road from Sloboda to Budy to bury Olha. The Russian military did not let her father out of the then-occupied village. However, on March 7, they failed to bury the victim. Everyone who was in Budy was immediately evacuated to Kulykivka. The body of the deceased was transported there.
Olha was first buried in a village near the town of Nosivka, where her husband and son were staying at the time. After the Ukrainian Armed Forces liberated the region in the first days of April, she was reburied in her native Sloboda.
"Olya was very active and brave. I took her and her son outdoors: we hunted and fished. They couldn't wait for me to get home from work on Friday to go on a trip. My daughter drove a car, rode a motorcycle through the village...", said Mykhailo Petrovsky, the father of the deceased.

"She had so many plans! She dreamed of going to the sea, moving to Chernihiv, so that she could commute closer to work and her son could go to school. But it was not to be...", said Olga's mother Nina Petrovska.
Olga Plotnikova is survived by her son, husband, parents and two brothers.

Дізнавшись про втрату, мама Ніна та брат Дмитро вирушили замінованою дорогою зі Слободи до Будів, щоб поховати Ольгу. Батька російські військові з на той час окупованого села не випустили. Однак 7 березня поховати загиблу не вдалося. Усіх, хто був у Будах, негайно евакуювали до Куликівки. Туди ж перевезли тіло вбитої.
Ольгу спочатку поховали у селі поблизу містечка Носівка, де тоді перебували її чоловік та син. Після того, як у перші дні квітня ЗСУ звільнили область – перепоховали у рідній Слободі.
«Оля була дуже активною, сміливою. Я брав її з сином на природу: ми полювали, ловили рибу. Вони не могли дочекатися мене з роботи в п’ятницю, щоби вирушити в подорож. Донька водила авто, ганяла селом на мотоциклі…», – розповів батько загиблої Михайло Петровський.

«У неї стільки планів було! Мріяла поїхати на море, перебратися до Чернігова, щоб ближче було їздити на роботу і сину – на навчання. Але не судилося…», – сказала мама Ольги Ніна Петровська.
У Ольги Плотнікової залишилися син, чоловік, батьки та два брати.
