"Oleksandr Kovalskyi was 38. His younger brother Gennadiy, who went missing on May 14 this year while performing a combat mission, was 33. Heroes do not die. These are not just words. Their souls are felt in every breath we take, in every heartbeat. They stay with us so that we remember the price paid for each of our mornings and days. And so that we do not forgive. Neither we, nor the next generations," the Horodnyanska community noted.

The defender was buried in his hometown.

At home, Oleksandr's parents and wife were waiting for him.
