"My dear brother. Rest in peace. You are forever in our hearts. You are our Hero, you are our angel. We will always remember and love you forever. Light clouds!" wrote the sister of the deceased, Alla Bukina.

"It hurts. We are losing young men full of life. It is hard to accept the death of our defenders. It is even harder to find words of comfort and support for the family and friends of the deceased. We share your pain and bow our heads in deep sorrow," the Sosnytsia community wrote.

The defender was buried in his native village in Chernihiv region.
Oleksiy is survived by his father Oleksiy, mother Natalia, fiancée Maryna, brothers and sisters. His twin brother Oleksandr is also serving in the army.
