SBU CI jointly with the SBGS internal and internal security officers exposed another Russian agent during a special operation in Chernihiv region.

The suspect was an inspector of the Chernihiv Border Guard Detachment.

Even before the full-scale invasion began, the official was recruited by an FSB officer.

After February 24 last year, the enemy "activated" his accomplice to conduct reconnaissance and subversive activities against Ukraine in the context of war.

First of all, the aggressor was interested in combat orders and an action plan for the engineering and technical arrangement of the state border within Chernihiv region.

It was this secret information that the Russian agent was supposed to find, photograph, and then pass on to his FSB "curator" via the Telegram messenger.

The occupiers needed the intelligence to prepare and carry out a series of sabotage attacks in the border areas of northern Ukraine.

However, the SBU officers were proactive - they timely exposed the traitor and detained him on his attempt to transfer classified information to the aggressor.

Based on the collected evidence, the SBU investigators served the offender a notice of suspicion under Part 2 Art. 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (high treason committed under martial law).

The offender was chosen a custody as a measure of restraint. The investigation is ongoing to establish all the circumstances of the crime and bring the perpetrators to justice.

The operation was conducted by the SBU Office in Chernihiv region jointly with the Main Department of Internal and Personal Security "Center" of the State Border Guard Service under the procedural supervision of the Chernihiv Regional Prosecutor's Office.

На підставі зібраних доказів слідчі Служби безпеки повідомили фігуранту про підозру за ч. 2 ст. 111 Кримінального кодексу України (державна зрада, вчинена в умовах воєнного стану).

Зловмиснику обрано запобіжний захід ˗ тримання під вартою. Триває розслідування для встановлення всіх обставин злочину і притягнення винних до відповідальності.

Заходи проводили співробітники СБУ у Чернігівській області спільно з Головним відділом внутрішньої та власної безпеки «Центр» Держприкордонслужби за процесуального керівництва Чернігівської обласної прокуратури.

First, the car in the video is actually Russian.

Secondly, the geolocation helped to identify the location of the shooting. It was the outskirts of Russia-occupied Makiivka, Donetsk region.

Russian propagandists began to delete the video and admitted that it was a "bad production."
