Thanks to the officer's decisive actions, the full complement of aircraft of the 40th Tactical Aviation Brigade was not damaged and was lifted into the air. On the same day, the brigade's military pilots shot down 6 aircraft over the skies of Kyiv region.

Viacheslav Radionov was born in Zaporizhzhia. Since childhood, he chose the path of the military, so he went to study at the Zaporizhzhia Regional Boarding Lyceum with enhanced military and physical training "Zakhystnyk". Later he graduated from the Kharkiv National Air Force University named after Ivan Kozhedub.

For his heroism and courage, Senior Lieutenant Radionov was posthumously awarded the title of Hero of Ukraine and the Order of the Golden Star.

When the full-scale Russian invasion began, Ihor was already ready and joined a local military unit on the morning of February 24, 2022. The next day he went to defend the city of Chernihiv.

"We were married for 19 years. We lived together with my daughter from my first marriage, Kateryna. Ihor was a strong-willed man with a strong character. He cared about the fate of Ukraine and his hometown. He was a member of a military unit and on the night of March 11, Russian aircraft dropped several 500-kilogram bombs on their location. Because the attack caused significant disruptions in mobile communications, we were unable to contact him for several days. We tried to find him in other different ways, not losing hope that he would call us soon. But after 5 days we found out that he had died. We miss him very much. It's still hard to believe that he is no longer with us," said Larysa, the victim's wife.

The defender was buried in Bakhmach, Chernihiv region.

At home, Ihor's wife, daughter, brother and sister were waiting for him.

«Ми були одружені 19 років. Жили разом з моєю донькою від першого шлюбу Катериною. Ігор був вольовою людиною з міцним характером. Йому була небайдужа доля України та рідного міста. Він був у складі військового підрозділу і в ніч проти 11 березня на місце їх розташування російська авіація скинула кілька 500-кілограмових авіабомб. Через те, що атака спричинила значні перебої з мобільним зв’язком, ми не могли зв’язатись з ним кілька днів. Намагалися знайти його іншими різними способами, не втрачаючи надію на те, що він скоро сам подзвонить. Але через 5 днів ми дізналися, що він загинув. Ми дуже за ним сумуємо. Досі важко повірити, що його вже з нами немає», – розповіла дружина загиблого Лариса.

Поховали захисника у Бахмачі на Чернігівщині.

Вдома на Ігоря чекали дружина, донька, брат і сестра.

SBU officers documented two episodes of receiving almost UAH 400 thousand in the hryvnia equivalent by an intermediary engaged by the officials to transfer bribes.

It was established that the scheme participants demanded a "tribute" of 40 US cents for each ton of exported products.

In the framework of the criminal proceedings, the SBU documented the transfer of another "deposit" to the intermediary.

He has been served a notice of suspicion under Part 3 Art. 369-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (abuse of influence).

The investigation is ongoing to establish all the circumstances of the crime and bring the perpetrators to justice.

The operation was conducted by SBU officers in Odesa and Cherkasy regions jointly with the National Police under the supervision of the Prosecutor General's Office.
