The Ukrainian authorities have agreed a new structure of the government, planning to leave 14 ministries instead of 20. This was reported by the Zerkalo Nedeli weekly citing its own sources.

The Energy Ministry, Foreign Ministry, Finance Ministry, Justice Ministry, Interior Ministry, Defence Ministry, Education and Science Ministry and Health Ministry remain unchanged.

The document also provides for a reduction in the staff limits of ministries and other central bodies of executive power (CBEP). In some places, it is more than halved:

📍 in the central offices of ministries - from 9,200 to 2,800 employees;

📍 in the territorial bodies of ministries - from 17,000 to more than 7,000 employees;

📍 in the central offices of other CEIs - from 13,000 to 4,300 employees;

📍 in the bodies of other CBEP - from about 80 to more than 40 thousand employees.

In addition, the management structure is changing. The coordination of strategies and programs will be handled by the Government Center, directly reporting to the Prime Minister.
