As a result of investigative and operative actions, the SBU officers identified the "liaisons" of the Russian agents. They were several representatives of the Kremlin news agency "RIA Novosti".

Another task of the criminals was to collect intelligence on the places of temporary deployment and movement of the Defense Forces units in the frontline areas, for which the traitors received financial reward.

They also "leaked" to the aggressors information about the consequences of regular rocket and artillery shelling of the regional center.

According to the investigation, the enemy accomplices are two local residents who were recruited by Russian special services after the start of the full-scale invasion.

SBU investigators served both detainees notices of suspicion under Part 2 Art. 111 (high treason committed under martial law) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The court imposed on them custody as a measure of restraint.

Как сообщали СМИ со ссылкой на НАБУ, следствие разоблачило организованную группу во главе с бывшим председателем правления Укргазбанка Кириллом Шевченко, которая в течение 2014–2019 годов незаконно вывела из финансового учреждения 206 млн грн. По версии следствия, именно в этот период Алексей Бережной был одним топ-менеджеров банка и в довольно близких отношениях с Кириллом Шевченко, Денисом Чернышевым и Еленой Хмеленко.

СМИ также писали, что согласно декларации Бережного, в 2019 году он получил доход от зарплаты в Укргазбанке в размере чуть более 8 млн грн, то есть около 670 тыс. в месяц.
