За словами координаторки системи ООН в Україні Деніз Браун, першочергові напрямки діяльності гуманітарних організацій – «це індивідуальні домогосподарства, ремонти, ковдри, матраци, зимовий одяг, продукти харчування, генератори для деяких лікарень; ЮНІСЕФ підтримує школи».

Браун зауважила, що регулярно звертається до обох сторін по дозвіл щодо переміщення через лінію фронту для надання допомоги постраждалим.
