➡️ This is not only for Ukraine, not only for our people, whose lives are threatened by Russian terror. It is necessary for all of you, all in the world, who value human life at least a little bit.

Today in Kiev, the ceremony of honoring our defenders, who were awarded the title of Hero of Ukraine, took place. I presented the "Gold Star" medals to our servicemen, as well as to the relatives of those servicemen who were awarded the title of Hero posthumously.

During the war, a total of 157 Ukrainians were awarded the title of Hero on 24 February, including 75 posthumously. State decorations were awarded to over 23,000 of our men and women defenders, over 3,500 posthumously.

➡️ It is time for the democratic world to consolidate all this with appropriate legal instruments. The status of a terrorist state for Russia. A special tribunal for Russian aggression. A special compensation mechanism that hides the money of the terrorist state to those it wanted to destroy. And, of course, new sanctions for terror. New sanctions are needed as soon as possible.
